Richard Dallessio is Associate Principal Oboe and English horn with the NYC Ballet Orchestra and Associate Musician with the MET Orchestra and MET Chamber Ensemble. He has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. He has made guest appearances as Principal Oboe with the Baltimore and London Symphonies and the French National Radio Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. He is the former Principal Oboe for the Honolulu and Virginia Symphonies and the former oboe and English horn player for the New Jersey Symphony. Mr. Dallessio in on the faculty of the Juilliard School, the Mannes College the New School for Music and the Bard College-Conservatory. He is currently visiting professor of oboe, Indiana University, New England Conservatory, and Boston University. For part of the 2012-2013 season, Mr. Dallessio will be the Acting English Hornist for the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC.
